FEATURED ARTICLE

The importance of ATTITUDE.

Thoughts are things…Choose good ones.  A new partner to our website, Mike Dooley has an extraordinary website and this is his tagline.  We loved it!  Jim Rohn has also spoken powerfully about the importance of attitude in all things.  Anthony Robbins explains over and over again what a difference it can make.

Our website was founded by having the right attitude.  We believe that through the sharing of the accumulated knowledge of ourselves and our teachers we can bring the tools to change the ATTITUDE, which is the catalyst for all change.  Our prosperity page at the site has a dissertation on the power of a change in attitude with respect to your money.  Prosperity at OurbestideaThere “is” power in your words and how you speak to yourself.

Try this.  Say an affirmation out loud to yourself.  Pick one, does not matter which one, and say it in a monotone voice.  Then say it again like it is the best, most exciting thing you have ever heard!  Wow!  We heard you all the way over here!  See the difference attitude can make?

Life and the Universe will bring its share of challenges into your world.  As an example: You may lose your job in mid life.  There are two ways of dealing with this.  One is to feel sad, angry, out of sorts, scared, panicky, and a host of other negative emotions.  The other is to first honor those feelings, for they are valid, then you need to remember that every new day you have a choice!  Spend the time you need to grieve, then pick yourself up, dust yourself off and look at all the good things about the change, voluntary or not.  Some of the best entrepreneurs have found themselves in the same position, either early in life or later, and the key element between a Donald Trump and a bum on the street corner is in their ATTITUDE.

So the next time somebody says, “How are you today?”  Smile your biggest smile and say “Wonderful!”  And you know what, you will be!

PROSPEROUS AFFIRMATIONS

I love Money and Money Loves Me!

The Universe wants me to have Abundance in my Life!

I am open to new and different ways to have more.

Miracle Money flows freely and joyfully into my life.

My world is filled with love, joy and abundance.

HARMONY

Approach everything with gratitude. People who find it easy to manifest,
spend a lot of time acknowledging what they're grateful for.
Not only that, they actively look for the positive in every situation and
express their gratitude (even if the moment isn't a fun one!).
Make 'thank you' the phrase you love the most.  Say it often!
When you focus on what you're grateful for, it is impossible for you not to
smile. And when you're smiling…. not only does the whole world smile
with you, but you tend to attract more of what you want, a whole lot
faster.

HEALTH

Did you ever notice some people take better care of their pets than
they do themselves?  Their animals can run at top speed (especially
when there is a treat) yet the owners can barely make it up a flight of stairs
(unless it is to get “that” treat!)
Behave toward your body like it is a temple, not a tent.  The earthly
trinity is mind, body and spirit. Your body is needed to support your
mind and spirit for the journey.  Take good care of it and your body
can take you where you want to go.  Walking with that pet will keep you
both fit and get you outside for communion with Spirit.  Just remember
to pick up your pet’s offerings!  Take good care of your body.
It's the only place you have to live.

AWARENESS

How did you do with the test from the last newsletter?  Remember, you were to walk into a room, quickly walk out and write down all you remembered.  Did you remember the lesson in the days afterward?

Notice the little things in life, the smile on the face of a child, the happiness of a dog at play, the warmth of the sun on your face, or the feel of the breeze on your skin.  If you can feel, see, do or appreciate any of these things in the moment, you are light years ahead of your fellow man, who is just too busy to be bothered.

Take two moments for yourself the next chance you get and do this for yourself.  You and everyone around you will be glad you did.  (If driving, wait until you are at a stop sign or stop light, please!)

A STORY FOR INSPIRATION

The park bench was deserted as I sat down to read
beneath the long, straggly branches of an old willow tree.
Disillusioned by life with good reason to frown,
for the world was intent on dragging me down.

And if that weren't enough to ruin my day,
a young boy out of breath approached me, all tired from play.
He stood right before me with his head tilted down
and said with great excitement, "Look what I found!"

In his hand was a flower, and what a pitiful sight,
with its petals all worn - not enough rain, or too little light.
Wanting him to take his dead flower and go off to play,
I faked a small smile and then shifted away.

But instead of retreating he sat next to my side
and placed the flower to his nose and declared with overacted
surprise, "It sure smells pretty and it's beautiful, too.
That's why I picked it; here, it's for you."

The weed before me was dying or dead.
Not vibrant of colors, orange, yellow or red.
But I knew I must take it, or he might never leave.
So I reached for the flower, and replied, "Just what I need."

But instead of him placing the flower in my hand,
He held it mid-air without reason or plan.
It was then that I noticed for the very first time
that weed-toting boy could not see: he was blind.

I heard my voice quiver, tears shone like the sun
as I thanked him for picking the very best one.
"You're welcome," he smiled, and then ran off to play,
Unaware of the impact he'd had on my day.

I sat there and wondered how he managed to see
a self-pitying woman beneath an old willow tree.
How did he know of my self-indulged plight?
Perhaps from his heart, he'd been blessed with true sight.

Through the eyes of a blind child, at last I could see
the problem was not with the world; the problem was me.
And for all of those times I myself had been blind,
I vowed to see the beauty in life, and appreciate every second
that's mine.

And then I held that wilted flower up to my nose and breathed
in the fragrance of a beautiful rose and smiled as I watched that young boy, another weed in his hand about to change the life of an unsuspecting old man.
